A dead mower is a dead mower. In my case the self propelled wheel gears had stripped leaving a heavy mower heading for scrap, so was happy to save it by fitting new rear wheels. Yes they cost a lot, but mower will live again for some years to come, and as I get older I will be relying more and more on the self propelled function.
