This was certainly the fix required for my Ryobi RWT285DS Trimmer where the carby diaphragms had mysteriously become perforated after many years.
Once installed, the fix was immediate and the trimmer seemed to have more power than it did when brand new.
Take care when opening the plastic bag 'cos the contents are loose-packed and the small parts (especially the small strainer) can be easily lost.
Also helps to have a copy of the carby service manual available (search the web) prior to installation 'cos in my case the original thin plastic sheets were almost total shredded and therefore impossible see as a reliable guide for the installation sequence.
